Buffalo Rodeo is an indie-psych band whose influences are rooted in bands from their hometown. They’ve steadily toured around the country since 2011, playing festivals and climbing the venue ladder. This constant exposure to new sounds has brought inspiration to the young quintet.
Buffalo Rodeo’s ethereal release, “123 Water”, shows the band’s obsession with the 60’s and 70’s. It’s a set of six psychedelic rock songs that that are steeped in washy ambience. Zach Preston’s croon is shrouded in wavy vocoder settings; the muffled texture harmonizing with Jordan Reynolds’ clear and sweet tone. “123 Water” is a set of experimental tracks showing Buffalo Rodeo’s transition into a new era. Check them performing tracks from the colorful EP on their second Audiotree Live session.
