Hazel English is a singer/songwriter from Sydney, Australia who currently resides in the Bay Area. She traveled to the US on a study abroad program in 2015, but quickly fell in love with the vibrant local music scene. Hazel found creative kinship with Day Wave's Jackson Philips and together they released the double EP "Just Give in//Never Going Home" in 2017. It's a curated collection of smooth tracks that tackles stress, anxiety and life's grey areas through the lens of dreamy, cinematic indie pop.

It's been like several re-listens and binges of this album since 2020 that I can still come back to and proudly say that this was an album I will personally call one of my favorites of all time. Wonderfully crafted & ambitious dream pop wearing its 60s influence on its sleeve with sheer delight, Wake UP! has been an album that I have no shame in saying it saved my life. No other album I can say I love can say that did it for me, capturing both the anxieties and joys of life, in spite of it. christiancruz8184
