The first disc shows The Joy Formidable at their very beginning, while disk two shows them in their current form, and they have never been better. The acoustic versions are complex and utterly beautiful. The Welsh language might be a bit strange for first (and second) time listeners but after a while it really comes together and the result is an amazing album. I've listened to the whole thing countless times and can't wait for more. Miguel R. Lima

Solid songwriting and great musicianship. I've heard a lot about The Joy Formidable, but up to this point I haven't taken the time to investigate and now I'm kind of regretting that it took me so long.
A great collection of songs, and their cover of "Ashes to Ashes" is really quite awesome... rikm
